Dori Handy works primarily on Employee Rights & Benefits and Consumer Protection cases; Prior to joining Zimmerman Reed, Dori clerked for the Honorable Mary E. Hannon in Washington County, Minnesota.

Dori's advocacy on behalf of employees began over twelve years ago, as she lobbied for safer working conditions on behalf of scrap metal collectors in Brazil. Dori has also tackled child labor violations throughout central and southeast Asia, and spent several years crafting employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in the United States.

In 2003, Dori graduated magna cum laude with an M.A. in Applied Ethics from Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium, where she studied international law. As a law student at the University of Minnesota, Dori maintained a consistent position on the "Dean's List," volunteered with local non-profit organizations, and represented domestic violence survivors in court as a Certified Student Attorney. Dori is also an active volunteer with the Advocates for Human Rights, and has successfully secured asylum for young women fleeing domestic violence and persecution in their countries of origin.
