Gold'n Plump: Donning and Doffing
Poultry workers in Minnesota and Wisconsin are now taking action. On February 24, 2004, workers filed a class action lawsuit against Gold'n Plump Poultry for failing to pay for total time worked. Employees allege that the company failed to pay them for time spent "donning and doffing," a term used to describe putting on and taking off clothing and equipment they are required to wear.
