Randy Hopper has been a partner in Zimmerman Reed since 1991. Mr. Hopper's practice focuses on complex civil litigation and government relations, with an emphasis on public policy and legislation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hopper held numerous positions in the public and private sectors including: work on a White House - sponsored urban education program in inner city Atlanta and New York City; a Manager of Public Affairs for the Cummins Engine Company; Director of State Development Planning for the State of Minnesota; Advisor on an economic development program serving Minnesota Governor Al Quie; and Finance Director for the successful Ramstad for Congress Campaign.
Mr. Hopper has been a member of the adjunct faculty at William Mitchell College of Law, teaching Corporate Ethics and Advising Corporate Clients. He also has chaired the Minnesota Institute of Legal Education's CLE Dealing with the Media seminar which has included among its faculty an extensive list of national and regional journalists from the print and electronic media, as well as prominent attorneys involved in legal issues with broad media coverage.
