Tim graduated with high distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Iowa Law Review and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. He is admitted to the state courts of Minnesota and the U.S. District Courts for the District of Minnesota.
Following law school, Tim work as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa where he drafted, revised, and edited orders on topics such as securities fraud, employment discrimination, and product liability. After his clerkship, he served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. During his time at the Attorney General’s Office, Tim worked with several departments. He litigated race and sex discrimination cases on behalf of the Department of Human Rights, child labor and prevailing wage cases on behalf of the Department of Labor and Industry, and constitutional claims on behalf of the Department of Corrections. Tim then moved to a litigation firm where he defended school districts and municipalities against claims under the Minnesota Whistleblower Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and the American with Disabilities Act.
Tim is an associate at Zimmerman Reed and a member of the firm’s Public Client practice. His practice focuses on complex cases involving consumer fraud and environmental violations on behalf of cities, states, and municipalities.
