Caleb Marker Named to the Super Lawyers List for Third Consecutive Year

Zimmerman Reed is proud to announce that managing partner Caleb Marker has been named to the 2026 Southern California Super Lawyers list — the third consecutive year he has received the recognition.

The distinction is not routine. Super Lawyers selects no more than 5% of attorneys in any state through a patented multiphase process that combines peer nomination, independent research, and blue ribbon panel review. Nominations are weighted toward attorneys who have personally observed the candidate in action — opposing counsel, co-counsel, practitioners who have seen the work firsthand from outside the firm. Lawyers cannot nominate themselves, and advertising carries no weight in the process. The list reflects what peers who know the work firsthand actually think of it.

For Caleb, that recognition has been consistent across an entire career arc. Before earning a place on the Super Lawyers list, he was named a Rising Star eight consecutive times — a designation reserved for attorneys 40 or younger or within their first decade of practice. Taken together, his record represents eleven consecutive years of peer validation, from emerging talent through established leadership.

That consistency reflects the nature of his practice. Caleb is a managing partner in Zimmerman Reed’s Los Angeles office whose work spans consumer protection, wildfire recovery, privacy and data breach, and employment rights. He approaches complex litigation with an engineering mindset — finding new structures, new tools, and new legal theories to level the playing field for the individuals and families he represents.

His record includes landmark work at the frontier of American labor law. Caleb tried the first merits arbitration in the country to allege that a gig economy worker was an employee rather than an independent contractor — a case that did not just serve a client, but moved the law forward for an entire class of workers navigating an economy that had outpaced its legal framework.

That willingness to take on cases that matter — and to find new ways to win them — is what Zimmerman Reed is built around. Eleven years of recognition from peers who have seen that work up close is a record worth acknowledging.

Congratulations, Caleb.
