If you’ve called Zimmerman Reed, chances are you’ve talked to Barb Doten – our resident intake specialist for our drug and medical device cases. She has been with Zimmerman Reed for over six years. Barb touches base with just about all of our current and prospective clients injured by a faulty device or prescription drug, and serves as their main contact while we evaluate their potential claim.
With Barb, you are never talking to a complete stranger—her knowledge and compassion put our current and prospective clients at ease while they share personal stories of their experiences. Her degree in Social Work from Bethel University has helped her act as a support system for clients who have experienced a traumatic medical incident, significant financial burdens, or even the loss of a family member. Barb is known around the office as an integral part of the Zimmerman Reed team, especially when comforting clients during very trying times in their lives. The connections she makes with clients are invaluable to our practice.
Barb’s compassion for others doesn’t stop at the end of her work day. She is currently involved in a mentoring program for young mothers, encouraging them as they go through a new stage of life and sharing her own personal experiences as an older mother. She is very active in her church and enjoys testing new recipes. Barb and her husband savor their moments with family, and are especially enjoying their role as Grandparents.
