As members of the Minneapolis community, we are heartbroken. We stand with our neighbors in the grief and anger felt by our city and around the country over the senseless death of George Floyd. Like many of you, we are struggling with what to do. But we are starting by donating to the George Floyd Memorial Fund to help ease the financial burden for the Floyd family and the Lake Street Council to help rebuild hard-hit small businesses and nonprofits, many of which are immigrant- and POC-owned. We believe the responsibility to work for equality for all individuals is a shared one and we are committed to being allies for change.
