Zimmerman Reed is pleased to announce that the trial team in the State of Minnesota v. Juul case have been named 2023 Attorneys of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer. Within the team included ZR attorneys Carolyn Anderson, Behdad Sadeghi, Charles Toomajian, Kimberly McNulty, Richard Hansen, Anna Jenks, and June Pineda Hoidal.

We’re honored to share this award with the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office and our co-counsel at Robins Kaplan. This award is a testament to our unwavering dedication and resolute commitment to holding corporations accountable and safeguarding the health and well-being of Minnesota’s youth.

The State of Minnesota v. Juul lawsuit alleged that Juul and Altria deceptively marketed e-cigarettes to Minnesota’s youth. After three weeks of trial, the settlement was announced on the eve of closing arguments. Minnesota’s $60.5 million recovery is significantly higher per-capita than any other state’s.
